Often the snowiest and coldest month of the year, February is dry and crisp, and Barberry Hill is as soft as a downy pillow. Still and quiet, thick blankets of snow muffle all sounds near and far—save for the occasional chickadee’s sweet call or the creaking limbs of big, old maple trees laden with last night’s snowfall.
