June

June is simply gorgeous. Meadows of pristine, bright green and sage-colored grasses provide the perfect habitat for wildflowers, which seem to thrive everywhere, and the sweet, warm air is filled with their fragrant scents. Along the edges of the woodlands where old stone walls meet the meadows, newborn fawns nurse from mother deer, bear cubs frolic along the brook, and grouse and turkeys hatch in their clever, well-hidden nests. Tiny ducklings scamper in and out of the brush along the pond’s edge. Barberry Hill is booming with all living things. The magnitude of nature’s mysterious strength and creative beauty is tenderly felt and effortlessly absorbed.
