October

Cold nights and sunny days define October. Outside our kitchen windows we see bear, deer, turkeys, bobcats, fox, and coyote move with speed, exploring, and hunting, while beginning to prepare for the long winter ahead. Yet, it can still feel like summer, ripe with the smells of wild grapes and apples, and walks through the woods crisp with the sounds of falling leaves the color of fire.
